Chrissie started her career in the film trade publishing industry in England. Working with the leading film trade publication on a weekly and daily edition, Chrissie covered the international film festival market. Chrissie moved back to White Rock in 2007, where she grew up. After 10 years of publishing in the U.K., she was appointed publisher for the South Delta Leader in June 2007. Now with Black Press community newspapers in B.C. for two years, she is a major advocate for "shop local" and nurturing business partnerships. She strives to support local retailers and associations to create community events to support local businesses growth in South Delta. "Our signature is local news and feature content with clear and defined design," she says. |

Philip Raphael has been with the South Delta Leader since 2001 and was a reporter for six years with the paper before being appointed editor in late 2007. He is a graduate of the journalism program at Langara College and has won numerous provincial and North American journalism awards. In addition to his reporting duties he writes a regular column covering the automotive industry. He is the father of two young children and is a long-suffering supporter of West Ham United. |

Kristine joined the South Delta Leader team in late 2007. She graduated from UBC's Master in Journalism Program in spring of that year. Kristine grew up in Steveston, Richmond. In her spare time she plays ultimate, dodgeball, board games and this August became happily married. |

Sarah has worked with Black Press for the past two years in the creative services department. She attended Emily Carr University of Art and Design and BCIT, graduating with honours in the Design Essentials programs. Sarah grew up in Richmond and lived in Bath, England for 10 years. In her spare time she illustrates children's books and enjoys trips to St. John's, Newfoundland with her family. |

Jane began her newspaper career as production manager for the award-winning Satellite Newspaper at Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario. After graduating from the Creative Advertising program Jane moved West. After working in tourism, public relations, event planning and the IT sector Jane started with the South Delta Leader in November of 2007. She brings enthusiasm and excellent customer services skills to her sales position and has was won two awards for her advertising features. Although a relative new comer to Tsawwassen, Jane is involved with the Ladner Business Association and sits on the organization's executive as well as various committees. When not organizing events, Jane can be found leading B.C.âs largest Beaver Colony at South Park School. Jane has been a member of Guiding and Scouting for more than 30 years. She lives in Tsawwassen with her husband and two very active children. |
