About: Chrissie Bowker
Chrissie started her career in the film trade publishing industry in England. Working with the leading film trade publication on a weekly and daily edition, Chrissie covered the international film festival market. Chrissie moved back to White Rock in 2007, where she grew up. After 10 years of publishing in the U.K., she was appointed publisher for the South Delta Leader in June 2007. Now with Black Press community newspapers in B.C. for two years, she is a major advocate for "shop local" and nurturing business partnerships. She strives to support local retailers and associations to create community events to support local businesses growth in South Delta. "Our signature is local news and feature content with clear and defined design," she says.
