South Delta's Rotarians provide 'green' touch for Tsawwassen's Little House
Rotarians from Tsawwassen and Ladner gave the Little House Society a helping hand recently as a group of around 30 landscaped the 12th Ave. facility.
Re-built following an arson a few years ago, the building is an educational centre dealing with substance abuse.
Little House Society president Jim Stimson said that thanks to the community's generous donations, the facility has been completed and is now a community resource for groups.
The grand opening is set for June 10—a year after the project's ground breaking.
Patricia Fleming, a local Rotarian and Executive Director of the Earthwise Society, helped plan and organize the landscaping that features indigenous plants to compliment a First Nations totem pole, and plants that are friendly to bees and other pollinators.
