Community donations mount for Tsawwassen apartment fire victims
Financial help is mounting for those residents displaced by a fire at the Tsawwassen Terrace apartments on July 13 that claimed the life of one person.
Landlord Century Group has spearheaded the effort by setting up an a trust account at the RBC Royal Bank’s Tsawwassen branch. Anyone in the community can donate to the fund directly, and no account number is needed. The fund is called ‘Victims of Tsawwassen Terrace Fire’.
Plus, the Tsawwassen Town Centre Mall is selling reusable shopping bags for $5 each with all proceeds going to the fore victims.
Century Group is also hosting a drop off location for a limited number of donations of furniture,
clothing, and other household items for residents of four suites who lost most of their possessions.
The community can help by bringing donations to the former Southpoint Academy site,
(1741 – 56th Ave.) Mondays and Tuesdays, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., until July 31.
