Deadline approaching quickly for Delta Hospital Foundation's penny fundraiser
The Every Penny Counts campaign to purchase a Triple Lumen IV Pump for Delta Hospital’s Emergency Department is coming to an end. The Delta Hospital Foundation will no longer be collecting pennies after Sept. 4.
With the campaign, which has already collected $7,500 in pennies, ending this September, the Foundation is reminding all businesses and individuals, who have been collecting on behalf of the hospital, to have theirs pennies dropped off to the foundation office before the final penny deposit on Sept. 5.
“There has been tremendous momentum ever since we kick started this penny drive off”, said Veronica Carroll, Executive Director of the Delta Hospital Foundation. “The fact that practically every facet of this community, from businesses, to families and even elementary and high school classes, has contributed to the campaign underscores how great this community is, how much we all love our hospital, and it truly shows that a penny can really go a long way."
The Triple Lumen IV Pump can administer up to three medications at a time with greater flexibility and puts less stress on the patient. With an increasing amount of patients seen at Delta Hospital with serious health issues, this pump will help medical staff to continue providing the best healthcare to our community.
Pennies can be dropped off at the foundation office located inside Delta Hospital’s front entrance at 5800 Mountain View Boulevard Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Or call 604-940-9695 to arrange pick up.
