Stick it to Alzheimer's
Delta school board chair Dale Saip decided to "stick it to Alzheimer's" Oct. 26-28 by getting his hockey stick out for the 2012 Scotiabank Gordie Howe Pro-Am for Alzheimer's in Vancouver, raising funds for Alzheimer's research and care.
"I am looking forward to getting to play hockey with some of my all-time favourite NHL hockey heroes and raise money for a great cause," he said prior to the event.
The Howe family set up the Gordie and Colleen Howe Fund for Alzheimer's after Gordie Howe's wife, Colleen, passed away from dementia in 2009.
