With the warm summer weather hopefully just around the corner what better way to get outside and enjoy things than at a barbecue? And the Tsawwassen Shrine Club kicks off the outdoor eating season next Sunday (June 3) with their 43rd annual Salmon Barbecue.

Last year, the service group served up around 1,800 meals at Ladner's Harbour Park.

Proceeds go towards Delta Hospital and the Shriner Care Cruiser Program which transports physically challenged children and their parents to BC Children's Hospital, as well as other medical facilities in B.C. and Oregon.

The event runs from noon to 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Call 604-943-3548 for advanced ticket purchases.
