Crime beat: Vehicle vandalized for third time

January 31, 4400 block 60B Street, overnight: Unknown suspect ripped the drivers’ side mirror off a parked car. $300 value.
January 31, 4700 block 53 Street, overnight Unknown suspects spray painted parked car with graffiti for the third time in the last two months. No known reason why victim's car is being picked on. $100 damage.
February 5, 11:40 a.m., 6400 block 68 Street: Report of a possible break in. Complainant awoke at 6 a.m. to find an unknown intoxicated male in her house walking up the stairs. Complainant confronted male who apologized and left. Unknown if anything disturbed or stolen. Late report to police.
February 6, 4 a.m., 5900 block River Road: Check of a vehicle during a road block led police to investigate a female driver and a male passenger for illegal drug possession. Further investigation led to the discovery of several credit cards and ID in the names of several different persons. Driver and passenger arrested for credit card fraud, possession of break in instruments and theft. File is still under investigation.

January 30, 6:40 a.m., 4800 block Dogwood Drive: Complainant reports seeing a male walking up his driveway and assumed it to be the newspaper delivery person. Complainant went out to get the paper and saw male leave the area in a dark coloured SUV. Vehicle came back a short time later, made a U-turn and left.
January 30, overnight, 4800 block Dogwood Drive: Unknown suspects broke into a car parked on the driveway, entered and took the car keys belonging to a second vehicle and stole it. Identity to examine first vehicle for fingerprints. Still under investigation.
February 5, 1:30 p.m., 1200 block 56 Street: Suspect tried to steal cheese from a store and fled prior to police arrival. Staff gave suspect description to police who located the male a short distance away. Suspect arrested on two outstanding warrants, insufficient evidence to proceed with shoplifting charges.
February 6, 11 p.m. 700 block Glenwood Drive: Unknown suspects rifled through an unlocked car parked on the driveway, and then stole the victims’ 2010 Audi sedan. Taken from the first car was a purse containing ID, cash and credit cards. The Audi sedan was recovered several blocks away. Still under investigation.
