Pit bull pup stolen from Ladner home
A Ladner resident is asking the public for information that will lead to the return of his stolen puppy.
Clinton Goldsby came home from work on Thursday, May 12 at 12:30 p.m. to find his five-month-old blue nose pit bull, Sugar, was missing.
Just two hours earlier, he had stopped at home for a bite to eat and both his dogs were sleeping on the couch. All the doors were locked.
When he arrived home in the afternoon, he said the doors were still locked but the back gate was open.
"Usually, my dogs greet me when I come home," Goldsby said. "They're always sitting there waiting for me."
His adult pit bull, Mary Jane, was hiding in a corner, and Sugar was nowhere to be found.
Goldsby said nothing else in his home was taken.
He suspects the thief broke in through the bedroom window or kitchen door of his older house.
Asked why someone would steal his dog, he said "I have no idea."
Goldsby has distributed 300 missing-dog flyers in Ladner and Tsawwassen.
He describes Sugar as 40 pounds with greyish-brown fur, white paws, a white belly, white snout and "piercing blue eyes."
"I'm super worried about Sugar, I just want her home," Goldsby said.
Anyone with information about the incident can contact Goldsby at 604-803-7308 or Delta Police at 604-946-4411.
