Driving up donations for DSS

FordFocus2012-WEB.jpg

A spin around the block in a brand new Ford or Lincoln this Saturday (June 4) can help with fundraising efforts to spruce up Delta Secondary School.

Organized by DSS alumni, those signing up for a test drive in a Ford or Lincoln vehicle will help raise $20 for the group which has a long list of plans where to use the funds—from laying a new running track to re-painting the exterior of the school building in time for the school's centenary next school year.

Funds for taking part in the test drives comes from Ford Canada's Drive One 4 UR Community Program. One donation is made per family and a maximum of 300 test drives can be booked for a total donation of $6,000 to the alumni group.

Test drives will be running from 9 a.m. to around 4 p.m. at the school which is located at 4615 - 51st St. in Ladner.

For more information about the event and the DSS alumni group, email dssalumni@gmail.com.
