dpd_logo---WEB.jpg

A man found beaten, bloodied and left lying in the middle of 56th Street and 10th Ave. early Sunday morning (July 10) was taken to Delta Hospital and treated for minor injuries.

Passersby came across the man—thought to be in his fifties—around 12:25 a.m. He was shirtless and had blood covering part of his stomach and face.

When Delta Police arrived on the scene a large crowd had gathered and were offering the victim assistance.

According to Delta Police, the incident appeared to stem from a verbal altercation that escalated between the victim and others who were unknown to each other. The male was subsequently struck and fell to the ground.

Police believe alcohol was involved.

The investigation continues.
