'Ritzy' Moonlight Gala to support Delta Hospital
The Delta Hospital Foundation is hosting a “Roarin’ 20s” themed Moonlight Gala in support of Delta Hospital.
The annual fundraising event will be held Saturday, Sept. 17 in the Sacred Heart School gymnasium. Some 300 guests are expected to attend the “ritzy” evening and raise approximately $250,000 to support the Delta Hospital Foundation Cancer Care Fund, dedicated to early detection and the purchase of diagnostic equipment for the care and treatment of cancer patients.
Beginning at 5:30 p.m., guests will be treated to an evening that includes a cocktail reception, elegant dinner, silent and live auctions, raffles, games, music and dancing. In keeping with the evening’s inspiration, guests are invited to come in 1920s dress to express the dynamic culture of the decade.
The Moonlight Gala is the foundation’s largest fundraiser of the year. Since its inaugural year in 1998, the gala has raised over $2 million for the hospital.
Tickets are $225 and tables of eight are $1,800. Tickets can be purchased online at www.deltahospital.com or at 604-940-9695. For more information on the event or sponsorship opportunities contact Jackey Zellweger, event co-ordinator, at gala@deltahospital.com or 604-940-9695 ext. 106.
