Ladner power outage caused by birds on the wires
A power outage in the 5700 block of Ladner Trunk Road is expected to be resolved by 3 p.m. today (Aug. 18).
According to BC Hydro, the outage is the result of birds contacting the wires, which can trip fuses causing power outages.
The problem started at 8:35 a.m. this morning and is affecting five customers.
One of those is the MacDonalds on Ladner Trunk Road, which has had to temporarily close up shop until the power comes back on.
