Layton-Jack-WEB.jpg

Members of the public wishing to express their sympathies to the family of the former NDP leader who passed away Monday (Aug. 22) may do so by signing a Book of Condolence located in the constituency office of Delta-Richmond East MP Kerry-Lynne Findlay.

The book will be available at #202 – 5000 Bridge Street in Ladner from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday to Thursday, until Parliament resumes on Sept. 19, at which time it will be presented to Layton’s wife, Olivia Chow.

Those unable to sign the book in person can send their message to Findlayc1@eastlink.ca and it will be added.

Layton passed away following a battle with cancer. Since 2003 he served as leader of the federal New Democratic Party and led the NDP to Official Opposition status after the federal election in May 2011.
