Delta Hospital Foundation gala this Saturday

COMM-Hospitalgalacar-WEB.jpg

With the 13th Annual Moonlight Gala only days away, organizers of the event received an anonymous donation of a luxury cross-over vehicle for the Delta Hospital Foundation fundraiser.

The 1920s inspired event Saturday (Sept. 17) at Sacred Heart School will have a 2009 Lexus RX350 added to the live auction list of items up for bids.

Valued at more than $38,000, bidding for the car will start at $30,000.

The silver Lexus has just 39,000 miles (62,800 km) on the clock and comes fully loaded, boasting a beige leather interior, navigational system, back-up camera, and remote control keyless entry.

“The generosity of this gift astounds me," said Teresa Cooper, Executive Director of the Delta Hospital Foundation. “We are extremely excited about the possibilities this donation can bring to the Hospital and our Cancer Care Fund. With new and up-to-date equipment developed continuously, this gift has the possibility to really make a difference in the lives of this community. It could help purchase the best detection and treatment tools for our medical staff."

The car is just one of many exciting live auction items available at the Moonlight Gala. Others include a trip to New York, a dream vacation anywhere Westjet flies, a sneak preview round of golf for 12 at Tsawwassen Springs golf course, a wine chiller, and various tickets to sporting events throughout the Pacific Northwest.

There are a handful of tickets still available for the Moonlight Gala.

Call the Delta Hospital Foundation office at 604-940-9695 for more details.

Sacred Heart School is located at 3900 Arthur Drive.

Cocktails and an appetizer reception begins at 5:30 p.m. and guests are encouraged to come in 1920s-themed dresses or cocktail wear.
