Update: Improved conditions allow ferry sailings
Improving weather conditions have allowed BC Ferries to resume service to and from the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal.
As of around noon today (Sept. 26), ferry corporation officials announced the 12 p.m. sailing from Swartz Bay and 2 p.m. sailing from Tsawwassen would depart as scheduled and reservations will be honoured.
Earlier in the day the 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. departures from Swartz Bay and 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. departures from Tsawwassen had to be cancelled.
Currently, there is no service disruption on our Departure Bay–Horseshoe Bay and Tsawwassen–Duke Point routes.
BC Ferries will continue to monitor the weather and updated information will be provided as it becomes available.
