Delta Police need help finding stolen urn
Delta Police are asking the public for help in locating an urn stolen during a Christmas Eve break and enter in North Delta.
On Dec. 25 police were called to the 7800 block of 119th Street after a resident returned home to find her house had been broken into. The resident said an urn containing the ashes of her late husband had been stolen, and described the item as a black silk box (four inches by four inches), containing a puck-sized silver container with the engraving “Babe LRL- 30-11-33 – 28-10-10.”
Police believe the thief may not have known the box contained the ashes of a loved one and are appealing to the suspect to return the cherished item by turning it in to any community police office or community church.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the stolen urn is asked to call Delta Police at 604-946-4411, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
