Fond farewell for foundation's Cooper
The Delta Hospital Foundation will be opening its doors to the public for an open house event July 24 in celebration of Teresa Cooper, the outgoing Executive Director.
The public open house is set for 3:30 p.m. in the hospital's Court Yard Café and will give the public the opportunity to say goodbye to Cooper.
Refreshments will be provided.
Cooper’s efforts over the past seven years as the Executive Director of the Foundation allowed for significant changes at Delta Hospital. And she has prepared the foundation to move to the next level where there will be a greater expansion of the facilities at Delta Hospital.
During Cooper's tenure and through extensive collaboration with the board and staff, she has been instrumental in:
• advocating and raising funds for a CT scanner
• final completion of the new Emergency Department
• expanded and enhanced Surgical Daycare Unit with third Operating Room
• funding and opening of the state-of-the-art Endoscopy suite
• Delta Hospital’s return to acute care status.
The Foundation’s Board of Directors completed a four-month long search in April by selecting Veronica Carroll, previously Chief Executive Officer of the Royal Inland Hospital Foundation, as the organization’s new Executive Director.
