The Delta Police are searching for a missing 87-year-old Ladner man, who hasn't been seen in two days.

Edward Lysyk was last seen in his room in the 3800-block of Arthur Drive around 3 a.m. Saturday (Oct. 27) after being returned there for the night. When staff from the care home didn't see him the next day, they contacted police.

Lysyk has recently moved to Ladner from Richmond, does not have a vehicle, and is not overly familiar with transit or the use of taxis.

Delta police, with the assistance of Surrey Search and Rescue, conducted an extensive on foot search of the surrounding area, employing K-9 teams, and a thermal image search. This search continued throughout the night into the early morning on Sunday.

Edward Lysyk was last seen wearing a long sleeve beige shirt with a hole in the right elbow, dark blue pants, and black dress shoes. He is described as being a Caucasian male, 6’2”, weighing 200 lbs, is balding with some gray hair, and walks with a limp. He was also wearing eye glasses.

The Delta Police are very concerned for Lysyk’s well being, and are continuing their efforts to locate him, and would ask anyone who has seen or locates him to call 604 946 4411.
