Delta Police warn local merchants about counterfeit US bills

Delta Police responded to reports of counterfeit money being used to make purchases at local businesses in Tsawwassen on Monday, Jan. 21.

Investigators have determined that six businesses had counterfeit United States currency

passed to them over the course of the day. An unknown suspect used fake $50 bills

in all of the instances that have been reported to the police.

The Delta Police are encouraging staff at local businesses to check for authenticity of the money being passed.
