Candlelight vigil, benefit concert planned for Pernosky
The community of Mission is rallying together after the tragic news that 18-year-old Rachel Pernosky's body was found Tuesday and that the RCMP's Integrated Homicide Investigation Team is now involved.
Condolences have been pouring out over social media networks since the news broke Wednesday morning.
According to a Tweet, a candlelight vigil will be held Thursday, March 21 at 7 p.m. at Fraser River Heritage Park. Everyone attending is asked to bring a candle.
Also, a benefit concert is slated for Friday night (March 22) at Sniper's Pool Hall on the corner of First Avenue and James Street.
The Anciients, GSTS and Random Dander will be performing starting at 10 p.m., according to a Facebook page set up to promote the event. Half the door money, and 100 per cent of other donations will be given to the Pernosky family, read the page.
