Clare fills the net
Ladner’s Sam Clare set a school record recently scoring eight goals for the Vancouver College field lacrosse team March 3 during a 9-9 tie with Delta Secondary.
The Grade 12 student, who is on the Team BC field lacrosse team for the Canadian National championships later this year, has received numerous inquiries from Universities in the U.S. and Canada to play collegiate lacrosse and to carry on his education.
Clare also played for the U19 Delta Footman team that won Bronze at the Provincial Championships held recently in Victoria, and the Burnaby Mountain Selects Senior Elite team coached by the SFU men’s team coaches, for the fall season. He is also looking forward to the upcoming box season and again playing for the Delta Islanders Intermediate and Junior ‘A’ teams.
