Sun Devils winless in opening round matches at B.C. finals
The South Delta Sun Devils girls soccer team got off to a rough start in the opening round of the provincial finals at Newton Athletic Park in Surrey.
On Thursday (May 31) the team lost two games—3-1 to Kelowna's Mt. Boucherie and 1-0 to Belmont from Vancouver Island, and followed that up today (June 1) with a 3-1 defeat to Kitsilano Secondary.
This is the Sun Devils' record-setting, 11th straight appearance at the provincials.
Last year, the team placed fourth in Kamloops.
