'Hawks double up on Devils
The Delta Ice Hawks started off the new PIJHL season with a 4-2 win Tuesday night (Sept. 11) at Ladner Arena.
It was not only the first regular season game for the defending league champs, but the curtain raiser for the 10-team league that welcomed a re-branded team—the Mission Outlaws.
The victory is the fifth in a row for the Ice Hawks who won all four of their pre-season games.
Next up are the Abbotsford Pilots on Friday when Delta travels to MSA Arena.
The next home game is Sept. 18 when the 'Hawks face off against the North Vancouver Wolf Pack.
Game time at Ladner Arena is 7:30 p.m.
